About me...

I think I was eight years old when my parents gave me a little plastic camera that used B&W 120 roll film. I still have that camera...and I still have the passion for observing and recording events which that little camera helped to ignite. By age 12, I had my first 35mm SLR (a Fujica AX-3) and, not too many years after that, I had developed my own Tri-X film in a makeshift darkroom and sold my first news photo to the local daily paper.
I’ve had an admittedly eclectic career. Still photography, videography, broadcasting, writing....and I like to think I do them all professionally. Call me an electronic Renaissance Man.
I finally realized that I love each of them too much to choose just one.
So today, I work for...ME! I left a good career at Business First newspaper in Buffalo, NY, to pursue the dream of earning my keep by shooting the photos & videos and writing the stories that are truly important to me.  While at Business First, I worked primarily as a print journalist and researcher
(I even had a weekly humor column!), but also shot news and sports photos on a regular basis for the paper, including Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres games...although truthfully, the years have also taught me to appreciate meeting and telling the story of the “average person” at least as much as covering VIPs or the supposed glamour of pro sports. I’ve also shot events for Event Elements, whom I’m proud to recommend for any event organizing you may require — not only because they’ve hired me, but because they do a wonderful job! Check out their website! (BTW, their portfolio section contains images I’ve shot for them at events such as ‘Coffee & Chocolate,’ ‘Corporate Spelling Bee,’ ‘Taste of Lockport,’ and ‘Bar Mitzvah.’)
Personal stuff? I’m a Christian man, thankful for all that my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, has done for me, including having blessed with a wonderful family. Hobbies/pursuits/skills, in no particular order, include being an EMT/firefighter with the Lake View VFD, speaking passable Spanish - especially on Dominican Republic mission trips with Jesse’s Children, aviation, travel, tennis and youth sports coaching.

Thanks for looking at my website, and God bless!
